Day 10: Rock Pool

Day 10: Rock Pool

Thursday,  September 5

NO DRIVING ANYWHERE TODAY! WOOOO! Just enjoying the beautiful town of Avalon is the only thing on our agenda.

We have a lovely relaxing morning. There’s no frying pan, but I found a panini maker. I used this to make us ham & egg breakfast sandwiches that turned out incredible! You’ll have to watch my TikTok @hannahranfranz for some behind the scenes of this one. It was quite comical.

We went to a cute little cafe called Awaken Est Avalon before we head out on a little hike. Christopher found a trail called Angophora Reserve. It was more of a hike than we expected. The birds are SO LOUD! It’s crazy! I have never heard so many different noises. It even sounded like monkeys and frogs. Who knows, it could’ve been! Lol

We come back to switch over laundry and grab a snack.

We head back out to go down to the Avalon Rock Pool. It is by far the coolest pool I’ve ever been in. Christopher is at the top of the cliff getting cool drone shots. He comes down and jumps in first. An old lady called me a wimp for not getting in all the way, so I ended up jumping in with Christopher. Best decision ever.

We ended up going on a long hike. Bangalley Head. If you ever come to Avalon beach, this is a must. We went to the top of another cliff and got an amazing view of two other cliffs poking out. You could also see the water and a marina from the other side. It was breathtaking. The views are just unreal here. We both would love to live in Avalon. There are so many families. Young kids walking around everywhere on their own because it’s so safe. Everyone’s surfing on the beaches. There’s kids running down the street in their wetsuits and barefoot ready to get into the water with their boards. Right near the beaches at the bottom is a skate park filled with kids who just got off school. They all have their cute little uniforms on. I would raise a family here in a heartbeat.

Another incredible bird we see is a bright green bird with a rainbow stomach. It’s so neat to see the animals in their natural habitats.

We swing by the grocery store at the bottom of the hill and right by our airbnb to grab some last minute dinner items.

I made Christopher some French toast using the little panini maker. This thing is really coming in handy, and I am having fun getting creative with it.

I am currently working on a new app and putting together a 16 week training program. I am excited to grow my coaching business again and transform my business into an app so clients can track their progress and workouts better, also that way the training programs can be more detailed and visual. I’ll be honest, change isn’t always easy. It’s hard and I feel like I’m starting over from square one, after I have spent countless years creating the platform that I have in the past. But change is often necessary and can bring about greater and better opportunities!

We both grind all evening long and hit the hay early. My highlight was jumping into the rock pool. Christopher’s highlight was the pool as well. I would say this is a once in a lifetime experience, but I have a strong feeling, we will be back, especially with our children one day.
