Day 23: The Pier, Fergbar & Bakery

Day 23: The Pier, Fergbar & Bakery

Wednesday, September 18th

No big plans today, so we decide to hit the gym. It’s our first time going to the gym since being in a hotel! We went to Queenstown gym. It was okay. Nothing special & old equipment, but it was clean & got the job done! It had a pretty overlook of the mountains as well.

We drove the road up to Glenorchy & back for some site seeing. We parked along the water and took a nice walk. We hung out in Queenstown all day.

We got a flat white from Balls & Bangles. We are addicted.

We grabbed a drink at a bar along the water called The Boardwalk, and then we got a quick little bite & ate outside at a restaurant called the Pier. The food here isn’t all that great, which is why we haven’t ate out at all, but I got a tasty salad with some normal grilled chicken and Christopher got some cheesy garlic bread that he liked. We tried a warm buttery rum, that was disgusting.

We stopped at Fergbar to get a drink and then the bakery for another little snack. Christopher got the steak and cheese pie. This was definitely the best one yet that he’s had.

We head back and have an early night. We have so much fun in the evenings in the campervan. We are really gonna miss this thing, but we are excited for a real bed again.

My highlight was walking along the water and seeing a giant tree. I’ll attach a photo.

Christopher’s highlight was walking from the pier to Fergbar. We didn’t know where we’d end up, we were just venturing back to the car, but it’s always endless laughter.
