Day 24: Last Day Glamping!

Day 24: Last Day Glamping!

Thursday September 19th

Slow morning. It’s rainy out so we take our time. I do a workout with my bands in the camper. We do some planning for Bali. I do laundry.

We go back downtown to make some returns at Kathmandu. We joke that we are “rich” now. HA. So we stop by Perky’s floating bar. It’s a must. It’s such a cute little boat, right on the water. Christopher got an IPA called Foggy Goggles, and I got a sparkling water. The sun has come out now, so we can get some steps in.

We went back to The Winery. They have one in Queenstown as well, and it was a fun experience in Arrowtown. We just wanted to have another glass of the Riesling called Fromm. It literally tastes like apple juice!

We walked back to the car to add more time to our parking.

We popped into Caribe kitchen and Christopher got a chicken quesadilla (it was flavorless) once again, don’t come to NZ if you’re trying to eat good. It’s for adventures & home cooked meals in your camper van. It’s actually INCREDIBLE how set up this entire country is for camping. Also, all the campgrounds we stayed at are surprisingly clean. We have been so impressed.

We go to Patagonia chocolate shop to grab a flat white. We decide to grab a bottle of Babich (one of our favorite sav blancs) and head back to the campground for our hot tub appointment at 6:30pm. (or should I say “hot pool”) Because we have the top 10 membership, we get to use it for free!

We had a great time. It was so peaceful & relaxing. Christopher loves his baths & hot tubs. He’s the king of relaxing, which is great, because I’m not good at relaxing, so this is where he helps balance me.

My highlight today was the hot tub. This was Christopher’s as well. It was so nice. We left our phones & enjoyed a glass of wine & exchanged massages. It was a perfect last night of “glamping” at our top 10 parks!

The rest of the night we are solidifying our Bali plans!
