Day 25: Van Return & Hotel Life

Friday, September 20th
We wake up and hit the road. We head towards our hotel which is right by the airport and where we need to go to return our campervan to Britz. This was super easy, far easier and faster than we expected. We parked the van in a car park near the drop off first to clean it out and ensure it looked exactly how it did when we picked it up. We dropped our suitcases off at the hotel, then returned it.
We walked around the town near the airport on our way back to our hotel. Everything was super close. We swung into New World Market (the grocery store here) and grab some stuff for dinner. We actually got some panini bread from the bakery, and it was one of the best things we had eaten in all of New Zealand. We got more egg whites to make and some salad.
We got in a solid workout at the tiny hotel gym. All they had was 1 cable machine, 1 set of dumbbells, and one sole 8kg kettlebell, but let me tell you, we CRUSHED it. We did supersets and used the weights on the treadmill, and moved nonstop for 45 minutes.
I’ll tell ya what, it sure does feel soooooooo nice to be back in a hotel in a nice bed and with more room in the little kitchenette. It’s funny how big the room felt, just because we were no longer in the van.
I wrote a special note to put in the pocket of my coat (Christopher’s idea) because the front desk at the hotel told me they take items to Salvation Army for donation. We got rid of some stuff to keep our packing light, and I won’t be needing a coat in Australia or Bali.
We finalized our first stay in Bali, using booking.com, and then went right to sleep.
My highlight was definitely our workout. I told Christopher we need to start making little circuits like this back home! It was a blast and a great workout. The time flew by.
Christopher’s highlight was packing up and cleaning out the camper van. Every time we folded the blankets together we would kiss. We are seriously the cheesy couple alive, and we love it.
