Day 27: Hijinx Hotel, Holy Moly Golf, & Sydney Park

Day 27: Hijinx Hotel, Holy Moly Golf, & Sydney Park

Sunday, September 22nd

Another day waking up bright and early! We have a full, fun-filled day ahead of us. We wake up early so we don’t have to rush and can enjoy our normal good-mornings & I love you’s.

We hit the gym here at the W. They have a wonderful gym here. We got in an amazing workout again. We then went to Kurtosh Bakery, and it was INCREDIBLE. Probably the best thing we’ve eaten in the past few months, and all it was was a “bagel” with an egg and slice of cheese. The bagel was more like a thin bakery bread, and it was heavenly. *insert drool emoji*

We then took an Uber to go to Hijinx Hotel to meet Ashely & Anthony. This was a BLAST. They give you little challenges in each room, from puzzles, to “squishing bugs” that was like DDR (Dance Dance Revolution with the arrows) to throwing balls into donut hoops, to basketballs, life size Tetris, to a “titanic” room where you can’t let the ship sing and other fun.

Next, we went next door to a little put-put called Holy Moly. It was the coolest and hardest little minigolf ever. The holes were so fun and brought you back to childhood games and movies.

We stopped at a little Brazilian cafe for a light lunch on our walk back, where we got more flat whites, a ham and cheese croissant, and Christopher got a sausage roll.

We then walked through Sydney Park. It wasn’t the nicest park ever, it was like a wetland that connected to the ocean. Our favorite park was that we saw all of the cutest dogs everywhere, and they were all running around off their leashes, but always stayed so close to their owners. One cool thing we did see was an EEL! This was quite the surprise.

We walked for a total of over 2 hours, close to 5 miles by the time we got back to Christopher’s cousins hotel where we said our goodbyes. We had such a wonderful time.

We venture back to our hotel, and we are DEAD. We rested for a little bit, then gathered ourselves to go grab a bite.

We did a short walk along the harbor & ended up grabbing dinner at an Asian spot. It was good, and then we got a milkshake to share from Gelatissimo.

We came back and went right to bed.

My highlight was waking up this morning. Christopher always says “good morning” every single day. Sometimes we get right up and go straight to the bathroom mindlessly, but then right as we both have our eyes open we always say good morning and I love you. I told him how happy it made me and how blessed we are to wake up and feel so loved and start every single day this way. Just smiling, laughing, and snuggling. It’s the little things in life that matter most, and we always have the best starts and ends to our days, because we never start or end our days without saying I love you first. We constantly talk about how grateful we are for our lives and for each other. When your attitude is gratitude, the world becomes a way better place, no matter where you are.

Christopher’s highlight was also waking up and all of our morning pillow talk about how grateful we are.
