Day 33: Ready to Move Again

Day 33: Ready to Move Again

Saturday, September 28th

Up early & feeling a bit better. Praise the Lord. I still have a headache from being dehydrated. We head right out to grab some breakfast. We keep it super simple and plain. I am scared to eat anything still, because I don’t know what I’ll be able to keep down. I’m feeling a bit nauseous at breakfast. I don’t drink my coffee, but I ate some of my English muffin sandwich with egg whites.

We then head back to our hotel and book our flights to Dubai for Thursday next week. We are ready to leave. I am sad, because if I didn’t get so sick, I knew I would’ve had a way different experience here. But, I have felt so awful. We still have another full week to enjoy other areas, which I am excited about, and I am glad I’ll be feeling better when we go into the jungle. We have so many adventures ahead of us, and we are ready to keep moving! I don’t want to scare people away from coming here, because there is truly so much beauty that we aren’t even going to get to see. So just be sure if you do come, to be cautious. I know SO many people who have come here MULTIPLE times and never got sick! :)

We grabbed Christopher a protein smoothie from the Dispensary. (A healthy food spot next to a popular gym here)

We walked back to the Love Anchor market, but it was extra stinky today, so we left. Christopher’s tummy was bothering him, so we hurried home, & I still wasn’t feeling too hot.

We hung out by the pool for a little. We joked and said we should’ve just stayed here all day. Mandala Clubhouse is so nice & you don’t feel like you’re in the crazy city. Christopher brought his SonyA7iii down so we could get some nice photos. A beautiful flower that had just fallen off the tree was the most perfect little “prop”.

Christopher needed to get some real food in his belly, the ritz crackers don’t cut it for a full grown man with a solid amount of muscle on his body. We stopped back at Bella to get the house bread we liked. I begin to feel sick again, so I don’t eat.

We go back to Fucina to grab Christopher some dinner. He really liked the gnocchi there, so it was worth going back. I’m feeling very unwell at this point, so we hurry up and head home after Christopher eats. He has hardly eaten along with me, so I wanted him to have a real meal. He wanted to get the food to go, but I insisted that he actually enjoys his meal. Plus, they had live music again, which was very nice & enjoyable!

My highlight was relaxing by the pool, & this was Christopher’s as well. Today was definitely a more chill day. It was nice just to take advantage of the lovely pool here, & not have to stress over anything. We always still have the best time doing “nothing” & just goofing off & enjoying each other’s company.
