Day 36: Waking Up In The Jungle, Think Pink Salon Collab, & Airport

Tuesday, October 1st
Hello, October. I have to say it again… what a perfect ending to our Bali trip.
Christopher got to fly his drone between 8AM-9AM. Within the hour, the drone survived 2 crashes, and he got so many incredible clips.
They brought us an amazing breakfast, full of fresh fruit, assorted pastries, cappuccinos, juice, an egg white omelet, and crepes.
This morning, we talked over breakfast about all the highlights of our trip, just reminiscing on all of the experiences and culture we got to take in. We just love the people and hospitality here so much. It is truly unmatched. Everyone in Bali is just so happy no matter what their job is. Other than our one little sketchy moment when we got lost, LOL, we truly have felt so safe every moment of this trip.
We recorded some content doing workouts and yoga. As we were doing yoga, a bee stung Christopher. While he swatted it away, his ring flew off. We didn’t notice, but when we were packing up he noticed his ring wasn’t on! We went back through and watched videos. We could see exactly when it flew off and the general direction it went.
When all of the workers came to help us carry our bags out, they helped us look for the ring, and we found it! This is the second time the people of Bali have helped us retrieve our lost items. Once again, their kindness is so amazing. They are just so happy to help. We were so grateful.
Our same driver from yesterday was able to come get us and take us for a spa day and then to the airport. It’s very cheap to hire a driver for the full day here, and they hold all your bags.
We then landed one more collaboration. We got to go back to Think Pink Salon for a couples massage. It’s such a pretty salon and very clean. This was a perfect way to spend the afternoon, and it was much closer to the airport. We left feeling so relaxed.
We got to the airport 6 hours before our flight took off, but it flew by. We got coffee. We took turn walking laps. I goofed off doing bands while Christopher went through photos. We both worked on content and I also journaled. Checking our bags and going through security was simple. We grabbed a bite to eat, and finally boarded our flight, right at midnight. We were so excited to fly Emirates. DUBAI, here we come!!!!
My highlight today was when the workers helped Christopher find his ring. Christopher’s highlight was waking up in the jungle. What a cool experience that we get to tell our children one day and we will never forget.
