Day 38: Burj Khalifa

Thursday, October 3rd
We slept in today. After a long travel day, we needed to get a little extra rest. I love our slow mornings together. Recapping all of our favorite moments and simply enjoying one another’s
We decided to do the breakfast buffet again. It was so yummy yesterday, and we just do it closer to lunch so that we kill two birds with one stone. It is so nice to be able to eat GREENS again! I am loading up on all the veggies. We both got egg whites. I also ate some pancakes, because BALANCE.
I hit the gym again today, and I got in a great HIIT workout. It feels so good to be able to push myself with the weights again.
Christopher had to get some work done, so I did more journaling. I also had a friend sign up as a client, so I got to get her all set up with her workouts and macros, along with a bunch of other additional handouts that I like to send to my clients as a little bonus.
We check out and hop into an Uber to our next hotel. We stayed at Media one. It was a nice, inexpensive hotel. On days where we have so many adventures planned, it doesn’t matter as much where we stay.
We decided to take the train into the city. It’s a quick walk from our hotel, and it’s much cheaper than Uber. We figured we might as well do it for the experience! As we arrive, we walk to the Dubai mall. It is definitely the most beautiful mall I’ve ever seen. We ended up getting lost and couldn’t find our way out. We asked a few different people and ended up making our way outside. Right as we got outside we looked to our left and BOOM! there it is. The tallest building in the world, right in front of our own eyes.
We decided to grab a little snack to eat at Maison De Curry. Christopher got sushi, and I got a caesar salad. We got to see the light and fountain show. It was so magical. We had such a lovely evening.
We took the train home and went to bed nice and early, because tomorrow we have a dessert tour.
Both of our highlights today were seeing the Burj Khalifa. It was absolutely incredible. We are so blessed to be running around the world and checking things off our bucket list, and so many of these adventures we are just booking one day at a time. Oh also, PDA isn’t a big thing here, so I also loved when we would turn a corner and no one would be around and Christopher would say, “hurry up and gimme a kiss!”
