Day 42: Richmond, Deer, & Back Downtown
Share
Monday, October 7th
We have an AMAZING breakfast that was included in our stay. It was SO DELICIOUS. Everything was so nice, and I love the little restaurant connected to the hotel. It is so beautiful. I can only imagine how gorgeous it is here at Christmas time or during a wedding. It is just so cozy & homey. If you ever come to London, you must make the time to stay in Richmond. We both wish we had more time here.
I get in a great workout (they also have an incredible gym here) while Christopher gets work done. I also record some workout content.
We then venture out on a 4 mile walk. We head to the middle of the park to see the Ballet School. It is so beautiful. Along our walk, we see so many deer. The bucks are HUGE. They do their mating call so loud. It was such an incredible experience with the wild life, and something I never would have expected just outside of London. One time we even turned a corner, and practically almost ran into a HUGE one.
As we walk, we talk about how all of these long flights we have been doing go by so fast. I truly believe when you have your best friend to travel with, it makes it so much better. Before I met Christopher, I said I as done doing big trips by myself because they were just so exhausting. Now, our travel days fly by and we have so much fun even when we are solely just trying to get from point A to point B. Your partner makes all the difference in the world, and I am just so grateful to be running around the world with the love of my life and my best friend.
We head back to grab our bags and regroup. We have a 20 minute walk to the train station. Luckily we had a nice downhill walk that is absolutely gorgeous the whole way. As I am typing this I realized I told Christopher, “Thank goodness we were at the top of the hill” and I am thinking that has to do with the name of the hotel now. LOL.
We check into Z hotel. It is so tiny, but it was cheap and right in Westminster which is a very expensive part of town. It’s clean and compact. All we need is a place to sleep.
We head right next door to a restaurant called Elaine’s. It’s so cute inside, and nice and quiet for us to get some work done. My recent goal is to land a cruise ship collaboration, so I have been reaching out to so many. Typically I start with a DM on instagram. I keep it short and sweet so that I can get an email address with who I need to be talking to or I go onto their website and fill out contact information or an influencer contact form if it’s available.
My highlight today was when Christopher told me his highlight from two days ago. (Saying I love you to me before I fell asleep) I have been a hopeless romantic my whole life, and I am so blessed that God sent me a man who isn’t afraid to be lovey dovey with me. Christopher’s highlight today was seeing all the deer. It was incredible to hear them “yelling” out. I’ve never heard deer make such noises. Also, they were literally EVERYWHERE! It was a hunter’s dream! HAHA I can’t wait to tell my cousins in Wisconsin!
