Day 44: Last Day in London & Eurostar Train to Paris!

Wednesday, October 9th
We wake up and start our morning at Caffe Nero again. We then walk around the Theatre District. There was a beautiful street near covenant garden that was all stained glass flowers up above. We then went to the cutest little cafe called Caffè Concerto. I had a delicious English breakfast. As we were at lunch we booked our train tickets to Paris. We decided to upgrade to standard premium. It wasn’t much more per person. It came with bigger seats and a meal and drinks. We wished we would have booked our tickets a little in advance, because the Eurostar tickets do increase and book up. I’m glad we learned this moving forward.
We headed straight back to the hotel to grab our stuff and then took the train to get to Saint Pancras international train station. This was all super easy and getting on the train was a breeze. Just be sure you arrive in advance for an international train, because they do have security, but it goes quick! We were so excited getting on the train. The upgrade was definitely worth it. We had very comfortable & enjoyable ride. We were goofing off and got a little tipsy (off two drinks each) LOL We turned on the song “Drunk on a Plane” and were dancing in our seats saying “train.”
It was pouring when we got off the train, so we decided just to take an Uber, because it was inexpensive. We arrive to Hotel Hiro. It was so cute & quaint inside. They gave us a free upgrade that had a lovely little balcony. The staff was lovely and our room was very clean.
We stayed in the rest of the night. Christopher was pretty exhausted from being nonstop for quite some time now. I stayed up late doing more research on places to collaborate with and looking at airbnbs/hotels as well. My highlight today was arriving in Paris. Despite the rain, it’s just so beautiful here, and I am so excited to be experiencing this all with Christopher by my side. It’s my 4th time here, and I already know it’s going to be the best yet. Christopher’s highlight was Christopher’s highlight was walking through the train station and “going to 9 and 3/4” aka King’s Cross Station!
