Day 49: Workout, Work, RELAX, & Change of Plans

Today is a CHILL DAY! Our first relaxing day in so long. We take our time getting up, and then we head down to breakfast right here at the hotel. They had a decent breakfast buffet for only 14 euros each. We make sure to get our moneys worth just through espresso.
We then hit the gym. The gym is in the basement. It was probably one of the coolest ones yet. They had nice equipment and it was squeaky clean! They also have a sauna, which Christopher got to take advantage of. We got in a killer workout. I have been doing some band workouts here and there, but I’ve only gotten in a few good lifts since Dubai. Whenever we have a gym, we take advantage of it! At the end of the day, we are walking so much, and even though we enjoy our food, we are very mindful with what we eat and the portions!
Today is a work focused day. I am working on putting together more fitness content. I am still working on transforming my clientele to lifestyle. I definitely loved coaching competitors, but my strength in coaching has always been with the general population. I love helping women become healthier while enjoying life. I love to teach BALANCE. It’s all about falling in love with your health & fitness journey, because it truly is never ending. It’s not supposed to overtake your life, it’s supposed to enhance it.
We do a little afternoon exploring and picked up some food for dinner. Christopher got some Five Guys, and we got a salad, more ham & cheese sandwiches, and halo top from the grocery store. We then stopped to get a Crepe, because when in Paris, do as the Parisians do ;)
We spend the evening staying up late figuring out our next destination. Our whole trip took a 360. We were planning to roadtrip from France through Belgium, Amsterdam, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, but we got so exhausted from all the traveling we have been doing, trying to figure out transportation (trains, flights, rental cars, Ubers, ferries, etc.) that we decided to book ourselves a cruise. Now we only have to figure our next 7 days, because we will be leaving from Roam. We decided to book a rental car and still do a little road trip, but just to Switzerland and back to France.
My highlight today was booking the cruise and seeing Christopher’s face. I said, oops! My fingers slipped! He couldn’t believe I pulled the trigger. But hey, there’s no better time than the now! I LOVE cruises, and I can’t wait for Christopher to experience his first one.
Christopher’s highlight was when we decided to also book the car. We get the best of both worlds this way! We still get to go see more mountains, but we will be back in warm weather sooner than later, and we get a break from all the planning. We need a vacation from traveling. People don’t realize how exhausting it is! Other friends of ours who travel full time just told us the other day how being home is their vacation. There really is no place like home.
