Day 52: Darty, Shopping, Dinner in a Bubble

Thursday, October 17th
We woke up & enjoy our breakfast that is included with our stay. We love the vibes in Switzerland. Everything is so homey. The people are all lovely.
We then moved the car slightly down the street to our next hotel. This hotel was called Post Hardermannli. It was another picture perfect hotel. The rooms were adorable. The lady working the front desk was a sweetheart. We had a cute little balcony and still a great view of the mountains!
We then went on a walk to explore town. It was another GORGEOUS DAY! We have been getting lucky with the weather now. We found this little wine place called Spatz. It was right along the water. I know I’ve already mention it, but the water is the most perfect shade of blue. They give you the bottle to take outside, you pour it yourself, and then they weigh the bottle when you’re done to charge you. Of course, we ended up finishing the bottle. We joked and said we were “dartying” aka day party. We then continued adventuring around town having a blast. We made funny videos and content all day.
We discovered a store called the New Yorker and I got a whole new wardrobe for the cruise for only $30. I got 1 shirt and 6 dresses. They all hardly take up any space. I was planning to get rid of my tennis shoes, so this is what I am trading them out for!
We went to dinner at a cute little place called Vintage Chuchichästli. We ate outside in a little bubble. We got a big salad and fondue. The food was incredible, but the company we had was even better. In addition to our sweet waitress, we sat next to a table of 6 locals. We had one translator, yet were able to share so much including laughter. After dinner, we stopped by the grocery store to pick up some wine & snacks to bring home. On our walk home, we waved goodnight to the other couples eating dinner in the bubble.
Christopher’s highlight was drinking wine along the water. The small places we stumble across are always the best. We got to visit with the bartender and the other two couples there were from Maryland. One of the daughters went to the same high school as Christopher, Urbana high school. It’s such a small world! My highlight was eating dinner in the bubble and having so much fun with the people next to us without being able to speak much.
