Day 59: Day at Sea

Thursday, October 24th
Today was a simple day. Our first one in a while. We appreciate the simple days so much more now.
We lost an hour tonight changing time zones, so we got it of bed later than planned. We hurried to the gym to get in a little cardio before breakfast. I put together a plate for Christopher with some French toast, bacon, and fruit. I also ordered him an egg white omelet with cheese and then I got some hard boiled eggs for us to eat the egg whites. I got two small pancakes for myself. Once again, balance ;) I always tell my clients, it’s okay to have a piece of cake, just don’t eat the whole thing!
Today we got to enjoy the ship! We don’t have to be in a rush. We were looking forward to having a nice low key day.
We went back to the area in the area in the front of the ship where no kids are allowed. It’s much quieter, because they don’t play music in this area either. We laid out for a little and got some sun. The cruise ship is super busy with everyone being on board today. We enjoyed lunch in this part of the ship as well. I made a big salad with baked fish, and Christopher got a good plate filled with food.
Christopher got some work done in the room while I did some elliptical. Then he joined me back in the gym to get a lift in. We were in our groove. It feels so good to be hitting the weights again. We got to watch the sunset from the gym. The sunsets from the ship are incredible.
Tonight is formal night. It was so fun getting dressed up. I wore my green dress that I got in Switzerland! I’ll be rocking my $4.95 dresses almost every night on the ship! It’s funny that this is my first time putting on a dress since we’ve been home!
We had such a nice evening. It was so nice seeing each other all dressed up. Christopher looked so handsome. We both ate healthy meals to save room for dessert. For dessert tonight, we got warm apple cobbler with a cinnamon crumble top and ice cream.
Both of our highlights today were watching the sunset from the gym. The colors in the sky are miraculous, and the after glow is often the best part.
